04 / The name

Where the name comes from.

John has used the alias Cybex in the computer scene for almost his entire life. It comes from a character in a RoboCop comic.

In the story “Dreamerama”, Professor Cybex is a brilliant scientist. Delta City, the Dreamerama and even RoboCop were originally his ideas, until the heads of four Detroit companies stole them through recorded dream tapes. Left crippled, he returns as an invalid genius who breaks into their computer systems.
